Mary in the Liturgy of the Kapampangan Church

A Liturgical-Theological Reflection on Mary, the Church, and Kapampangan Faith

Mary in the Liturgy of the Kapampangan Church is a theological and pastoral exploration of the place of the Blessed Virgin Mary within the Church’s liturgical life and within the lived faith of the Kapampangan people. Rather than treating Marian devotion as something separate from the Church’s worship, the book presents Mary as a profound model of how the Church listens, receives, responds, suffers, hopes, and lives the mystery of Christ.

The book is built around eleven chapters that move from the theological foundations of Marian devotion toward its concrete expression in the liturgical year, Eucharistic assembly, prayers, popular devotions, sacred images and spaces, faith formation, suffering and hope, the devotion to the Virgen de los Remedios, and finally Mary as a model of the Church itself.
